High Volume Low Speed fan is an air circulating device of large diameter. It is an excellent ventilation option for a variety of applications. HVLS fans provide optimum air movement with best-in-class energy efficiency and quiet performance. HVLS fans work on the principle that cool moving air breaks up the moisture-saturated boundary layer, surrounding the body and accelerates evaporation to produce a cooling effect. These larger diameter fans can move more air than smaller fans at the same speed.
During summer season air around us is hot. This hot air is lighter than cold air. Therefore it rises to ceiling level through a process called stratification. The most efficient and effective way of mixing the air by pushing hot air down to the occupant level. HVLS fans produce a column of air as it rotates. This column of air moves unused heated air from the ceiling down to floor. This process of mixing of the airin the space decreases heat loss through the building walls and roof. This reduces the temperature up to 5 degree C, where it can have a positive impact on room's occupants by improving the IAQ.
